Fun before the trudge...

Just had my Central Nervous System Assesment... Omigod it was the hardest summative I've had so far! Questions bout stuff like Parkinson's Disease, Epilepsy and Schizophrenia were practically non-existent. Mostly physiology and some funny anatomy questions. Cranial nerves only got like one or two questions. Which cost 1 mark each. *sigh* They must be saving those questions for EOS 5. I think I'm gonna fail this one, really (Noo.... not now, not when I'm so close to the end....!). Good luck all my batchmates. We're all on the same boat eh? Well, most of us anyway.

Yesterday was a pretty tiring, worrying yet happy and fun day. Started off with visiting an ENT specialist at SJMC to check on my tinnitus. The only thing the fungus medicine did for the past 1 week plus was to peel layer after layer of skin off my ears... So... wait there wait here, check there check here... Everything's normal and working fine, but the sound's still there. Conclusion: Tinnitus due to exposure to loud music. Quite possible, but lasting for over a month? Isn't that a little too long? Maybe I already had some degree of physiological tinnitus to begin with, but the concert kinda aggravated it. Anyway, the ENT doctor said it'll go away eventually. Feeling better today, I think the sound is diminishing (Oh God please help me cope with this.. and make it go away too). Gotta stay optimistic and focused, don't wanna be distracted from my EOS preparations... By the way, EOS 5 is 7 weeks away, and I'm straggling behind in my revision. Wish me luck in the coming 2 months... It's gonna be the final 'battle' before I leave Bukit Jalil for good...

The fun part was in the evening. Celebrated my 21st birthday with the gang, my sisters and Xian-Nian at TGI Friday's Subang. The food was good, the company even better, and the TGI staff sang songs and made me stand on the chair! -_-" They also gave me this long, thick, hard wooden, uh... rod to make a speech with. Other stuff happened that night too, one of them I shall not mention here... Meng Lee, horror of all horrors, I so did not expect that! Ugh.. *must disinfect my tongue nicely with toothpaste and Dettol and a metal toothbrush* We had a fun time just sitting around catching up with each other and talking crap. Can always rely on Meng Lee to spice up our conversations with some new 'juicy info'. Seng Kiat, good to hear that your mom is getting on OK. Hope she'll continue to get better. :) After all the fun and laughs after meal, somemore so tired after going to SJMC in the afternoon, I nearly forgot to pay the bill before leaving... Huuu huuuuu malu only. Luckily I'm not officially 21 yet.

Thanks guys ("guys" meaning Ching Ee, Shiau Wei and Shing Wei too) for the shoes! They're really lovely! Vee Han sure has good taste when it comes to all things fashionable. :P Yeah, I'll be sure to bring them along when I transfer overseas next year (that is if I pass EOS 5).

Watched X-Men 3 after the dinner. Not bad, the whole movie was fast-paced and a little too rushed. Like they purposely got some of the characters to die early so that they could wrap up the whole thing in a trilogy. For those who are yet to watch it, make sure you stay till after the ending credits. There's a short extra scene after that.

Hokay, time for pictures. :)

My sisters and I. :P

The view from our table.

Me and my Chocolate Mudslide!

Dunno what is this Meng Lee doing...

Shing Wei looking as gorgeous as ever. Right, Seng Kiat? :P:P

Eyer. Why is Vee Han's head so big in this pic? -_-"

Lord Skank, Saint Skank and Miss Moist (don't ask how we got those names). Hmm. I look weird crossing my arms like that.

........

Us with a couple of Friday's staff.

Losing my patience with the meticulously cellotaped wrapping paper.

I've had tinnitus for over 10 years now. You do get used to it. Protect your ears so it gets better and so it won't get any worse.

I highly recommend wearing earplugs any time you are around any loud noises, especially loud music or machinery.

Good luck!

Oh goodness.... 10 years? Wow... Yeah, i guess you do kinda get accustomed to it. But still... 10 years is a freakin long time to endure this. So far, I think it's getting beter, though it may come back intermittently when I'm in a quiet room. Just trying to ignore it.

Thanks for the advice. :) I'll be sure to get ear plugs the next time I go to a concert or clubbing... (my friends gave me weird looks when I told them that. Oh well). Hope your tinnitus will diminish too.

Wishing you well, and thanks for stopping by my blog.:)

Ignore what your friends say. 1 in 10 people have tinnitus apparently. Those of us who are pre-disposed to it have to protect our ears. And part of the problem is that you don't know you're going to get it until it's too late.

After loud noise exposure, I'll wear ear plugs all day for a day or two just to give my ears a rest. Seems to help. I look like a dork, but it's worth it.

Club music sounds better with ear plugs in anyway!
